Rescue Calendars are Available:

ID Tags:
In studies, the fastest way home for a pet is a current ID tag on their collar. We can make ID tags while you wait. It is an effective and inexpensive way to help bring your pet home if he/she gets lost. Cost: $6.00 - $8.00
Microchips:
ID tags are easy to read but can get lost. A permanent form of identification for your pet is a microchip. A microchip is a small, sterile transponder that can be injected under the skin of your pet where it remains safely for life. The microchip contains a unique, one-of-a-kind identification number that is revealed when your pet is scanned. Cost for microchip injection and registration is $50.00.
|
Registration:
Any microchips we place now are automatically registered but if you have a microchip that has not been registered to your name consider registering your pet. We have the forms to help you register your pet. Registering with Home Again comes with a proactive pet recovery network, lost pet alerts, 24/7 Emergency Medical Number including access to poison control, and lost pet insurance. The lost pet insurance covers up to $3,000 worth of medical treatment if an injury occurs while your pet is lost. Do not put off registering your pet.

|
Health Insurance:
With rising pet health care costs pet health insurance is becoming a necessity. Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) is the nation’s oldest and largest provider of health insurance for pets. Call them at 1-800-872-7387 or visit them online at www.petinsurance.com. Do not get caught without pet insurance to help you pay your pet’s medical expenses. Do not forget to cover your rabbit, ferret, or guinea pig. |

Weight Loss Plan:
Yes many of our pets need to lose weight. Let us help you get on track with a diet and exercise program for your pet. New research is showing how much excess weight is increasing risk factors for disease by producing bad hormones and bad inflammatory factors. Arthritis in pets that are overweight occurs not only from increased weight on the joints but also from the inflammatory factors produced by fat acting negatively on the joints.
|
Bloodwork:
Running routine bloodwork will either show how healthy your pet is (what a great feeling) or catch a disease process in the early stages (whew, glad we caught that problem). Knowing your pet’s values when they are feeling good helps us evaluate them when they are not feeling well. Don’t put off bloodwork any longer.
|
Dental Evaluation, Cleaning, and Polishing:
You have been told your pet needs a ‘dental’ but you have been putting it off. Do not put off this important health need. Infection from dental disease has impacts over the entire body. Just an oral exam under anesthesia can reveal many problems that cannot be diagnosed while your pet is awake. Set up your dental evaluation today.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Fall BBQ; it was a huge success!
Without your support, H.O.P.E. would not be able to rescue and save the number of animals that have come to us over the last couple of years.
They thank you as well!
